I really enjoyed this book - I have included a summary from Amazon:
Cyn admirably escapes a childhood of neglect and abuse by running away at age 17. She survives the next five years supporting herself the only way she knows how - by selling her body. With fierce determination, she saves enough money within 5 years to move to small-town North Carolina and reinvent herself, find an honest job, become a productive member of society, make friends and fall in love with the town's understanding and nonjudgmental preacher. Her relationship with Bruce is threatened because it's difficult for her to trust any man, and she feels unworthy of the love of a good man. Cyn's abuser eventually catches up with her, and starts stalkin, threatening and tormenting her. With the love and support of Bruce, and the protection of the entire community, including a mysterious clairvoyant character, Cyn finally finds safety and much deserved happiness.

Another fun read featuring the citizens of Visitation, North Carolina. Main characters are minister Bruce Kelly and Cyn Potter, new to town and turning her life around.
Love all of Lori Fosters book. All of this series is a great read.
Cyn Potter is a survivor with an independent streak. She takes charge of her life and ends up in a small town where she finally finds safety and love. One character in the book, Jamie, is very interesting and I would love to know his story.
Makes you think, if you're looking for light entertainment this is not it.
lori foster wow that girl can crack me up in her books i love them this is one of 3 in this one i believe the one before this one is called the secret life of BRYAN i have not yet read it but am looking forward to reading that one also and the one after this one is just a hint clint i think it goes with the other 2.
You first met Bruce Kelly in Lori Foster's novel, The Secret Life of Bryan. Now Bruce comes into his own---and a whole lot of trouble---when he fall for a woman who is nothing like he is, but everything he wants.
I really liked this one...funny, romantic and well worth the read.
Bruce Kelly comes into his own- and a whole lot of trouble - when he falls for a woman who is nothing like he is, but everything he wants..
Bruce is a minister and Cyn is a sinner - an unlikely but endearing mix. Love, of course, is the leavening that reveals their common humanity.
Prostitute meets Preacher. That's a love story with irony and a fun.
X-rated romance---deals with some darker aspects.
This story focused on the problems Cyn has leaving her life as a hooker behind and believing she might be worthy of a good man. Less heat than other Lori Foster books, but the continuation of the Visitation Saga is always good stuff!
Such a fun series- just ordered the next one!
Foster does it again. If they made priests this hot in our church I would attend mass every day!!!
Awesome book. Part of the Visitation series.
WHEN OPPOSITES ATTRACT...
Bruce Kelly has spent most of his life helping people who are down on their luck, guiding them toward making better lives. Compassionate and kind, Bruce understands that everyone makes mistakes, even if he's never actually done anything but color inside the lines. Nobody's perfect, but Bruce is about to meet a woman who's perfect for him. He's determined to show her that he can be trusted. And if that means proving it by being the absolute gentleman at all times, then so be it. No matter how many cold showers it takes....
...JUST GET OUT OF THE WAY
Cyn Potter is a survivor, with a sassy, gallows wit and a fierce independent streak to show for it. She's used to men wanting only one thing, and this girl is no longer taking applications from big bad wolves in sheep's clothing, thank you very much, drive through please and keep on going. But Bruce Kelly is actually different. Totally hands off. Sometimes she can see a hint of fire when he looks at her, but the guy treats her with the respect she's always wanted. Maybe too much respect, because truthfully? The guy is fine. Worth taking down a few defenses for...and a few other things. And maybe somebody needs to help Bruce start over and discover just how perfect being imperfect can be....

Love this series. Can't go wrong with a Lori Foster book.
This book is the middle of a "series" (although not necessary to read them previously). Books start w/ the Winston Brothers who move to Visitation, NC. Friends end up checking on each other & along the way Bruce & Cyn meet up
I enjoyed this book, however I wish I'd know that it was a part of a series. Now I'm looking for the previous book!
Sweet love story. Part of the Winston series.
THIS WAS THE SECOND BOOK i HAVE READ IN THE SERIES AND AM REQUESTING SOME OF THE OTHERS

Foster first introduced Bruce Kelly in her novel "The Secret Life of Bryan." Now, Bruce comes into his own--and into a whole lot of trouble--when he falls for a woman who is nothing like he is, but everything that he wants.

This is Book three in the Visitation Series.
This is about Bruce, Bryan's twin, the Preacher. He has decided to move to Visitation and set up a Church. On his way he finds Cyn. She is a Runaway turned hooker who wants to start a new life.
This one was the easiest to read out of the 3. Had no clue till the end.

Great book, loved it.
It was your typical romance novel, I didn't really think it was that great but it was ok.
enjoyed this book very much
I like Lori Foster's most recent work more than her older books, but it was still an okay fun series to read. For Lori Foster fans you can definitely see the beginnings of her great ability to develop characters you get attached to and invested in. They get progressively better and my favorite and closest to her most recent work is the final book in the series, "Jamie".
