This was a pretty good book, without the usual arrogance that goes with specialty doctors telling their stories. The author talks mostly about cases during his residency as a neurosurgeon. I enjoyed it. It's a fairly quick read. Lots of the medical terms are not explained.

This is an interesting true story of a neurosurgeon and his journey from intern to surgeon.
There are many stories of patients he cared for.

A personal and graphic tale of real life patients who undergo the intricate procedure of brain surgery under the care of Dr. Frank Vertosick. Very well written!
