This is a fun book to read. I love Ms. Rich's style of turning a phrase. I learned a lot and was reminded of all the good manners my mama taught me (alas, not a southern mama). Good manners help with confidence and being self assured. Knowing the most graceful way to handle situations lets us all be better prepared to handle life.

This was a decent book on how to act like a lady. Some of it common sense some of it not so much. The author's personal stories and those of her friends and family make it an enjoyable read. Pretty wholesome book with funny experiences thrown in. Would make a great book to give to any female generation.

While much of this is tongue in cheek humor, there is also a lot of good advice! Many of these topics hit on things that were drilled into my head as a young girl in the south by my mother and grandmothers, it brought back many fond memories, and I had my daughter read it as well.
