First off... I don't like spiders!!! I can't think of anything else that bothers me except those 8 legged creepy crawlies. So it took me a bit of bravery just to open this book. I did have a problem in the beginning. I felt like I kept walking into imaginary webs and a couple of times when my nose itched, my first thought was there was a spider web in there. A book like this can really mess you up mentally! Luckily, there was enough humor and some really good characters to make you relax a little.
It's about a guy named Clive and a spider named Chester. They meet one day at an outing on the lake. The don't hit it off right at the start but learn to adjust. Especially when Clive's life is improving since he met Chester. How could he not be grateful to his new pal?
Lots going on in this book and a lot of twists and turns. Enjoyed every bit. The only problem I had was at one point it was too "charlotte webby" which kind of brought the scare factor down for me. Would definitely recommend.
