exactly what the title says - a musician's stories of what she has seen in towns across America and how they have rebuilt themselves and rejuvenated their downtowns by building a community through coffee shops, PTA bake sales, etc. Focuses a lot on the arts and music and how collective groups can help form community and then everyone works for the greater good. Each chapter was a different town.
