Points on this one for holding my interest. It had me curious as to what was going on and enough action to keep me invested. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough for me to like it in the end. For me, it felt really far-fetched and improbable. For some stories, that kind of thing works but for this one, it didn't. I also thought the characters were shallow. I could care less what happened to them throughout the book. Disappointing.
Well, it was interesting, kept me reading through half the book before I thought, really, nothing much is going on. Same ol...
I gave it a few more chapters then quit about a third of the way from the end.

This is a story of the lives we leave behind and the secrets we carry with us forever. Jenna, Donnie and Nico were best of friends living at Savior House, a group home for parentless teens, 25 years ago. They have been reunited as someone is trying to kill them. They will have to revisit their past that holds the secrets to why someone wants them dead. I found this book to be a fast-paced thriller. There are multiple POV's that take us from the past through the present. The characters are well-developed and bring us to an action-packed ending. I'm looking forward to reading another Alex Finlay book. I would like to thank St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books and NetGalley for a copy for an honest review.
