If you have ever read any of my reviews, I am not the biggest fan of Christian fiction, often because I think these books are bland, and where the authors lack talent they try to fill up the novels with prayers, or Bible verses. My mother loves this author, which well, just makes me think I wouldnt.
So I am converted. I did love this book, I really liked both of our main characters. I did get attached to the characters, and all the animals in their lives.
This book was not bland, The author is talented, and did use Bible verses, but he knew how to do it the right way.
To me this book struck a real balance between a good clean novel and real people with real struggles. I am glad the murder happens later in the book because we really needed time to get to know everyone in the story. Even the supporting characters and the murder victim.
You wont be getting clues to solving this, and our characters are not sleuthing to find answers. See the cats are important in the story, and they have a voice. Just give it a whirl you wont be sorry.

Great clean story, loved the characters. Look forward to others in the series. A true cozy. Jacque and Cleo a good pair.

This book was ok. The murder didn't take place until halfway through the book. There weren't many clues, so if you like to read books to try and solve the 'whodunit', this may not be the book for you. The characters were ok, but I didn't really get attached to any of them. Personally I'd read the older Cat Who books or the Mrs. Murphy series over this one.
