This is one of my favorite breastfeeding help books. I give this to all my pregnant friends and it's part of every baby shower gift I give. Breastfeeding is so very important to the baby and the mother and this book presents valuable information in a non-confrontational and easy to understand way. This is a good starter book for the mom who's just now decided to try or is on the fence about whether or not to breastfeeding. For a more comprehensive breastfeeding guide, get the Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. It is the bible of breastfeeding.

This book is a great no-nonsense, plain English, practical handbook for getting breastfeeding established. It's especially good for boosting your morale if you're having problems during those first few weeks trying to nurse a newborn.

I LOVE this book. It is well written and full of informative information. I am due to have my 2nd child and hoped to breastfeed. I was not successfully with the first one only because I was a new mom and was not very well educated on breastfeeding. I thought "how hard can it be?" But when he wouldn't latch on and I thought he was starving I immediately put a bottle in his mouth and said forget it. I wish I had more information or knew where to get help for breastfeeding; I also wish I had known everything my son was missing out on by not breastfeeding. The amount of nutrients and all the immunities your child will get is priceless. Breast milk could never be duplicated in any kind of formula (not even close!!)

A very lighthearted and informational read on breastfeeding. Not my favorite nursing book, but a good one to get you through some of those late night feedings.

A witty, informative book on breastfeeding. Lots of facts that are little known. Not necessarily a how to though. Great in conjunction with a LLL breastfeeding book.

Funny and insightful, this book is great for those considering breastfeeding, and for those who already are but could really use a laugh. Contains the breastfeeding basics and follows through to provide solutions for those to whom breastfeeding may not come "naturally".

My first kids were twins and I didn't successfully breastfeed them. When I got pregnant with my third child a friend sent this to me. It helped me immensely. In the early days of breastfeeding it's what got me through the hard times. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I felt it could've addressed the issue of engorgement a little better. Other than that it was wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone who is just beginning to breastfeed.
