Interesting, enjoyable, and as plausible as any other theory on Jack the Ripper. I like historical fiction because it usually inspires me to learn more about the people, era, and/or area the book highlights. This one did not disappoint.

This was a pleasant surprise since it didn't have many reviews. I am glad I discovered it. Most enjoyable for me were the often humorous portrayals of various famous historical personages (Oscar Wilde, for example -- in addition to the James siblings, of course). A general familiarity with the time period should suffice to 'get' the references.

Totally enjoyed this new approach to a well-know tale. Don't usually like fictionalized historical characters but this one was well done. Writing style was also atmospheric and witty at times. Great fun for murder mystery lovers!
