A great twist to most fantasy type novels. After years of writing together the dynamic duo Weis and Hickman show no signs of slowing down and I couldn't be happier. Although the book is not entirely theirs they did a great job of making Larry Elmore's world come to life on the pages.
*****SPOILER**** IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK YET AND DON'T WANT IT SPOILED FOR YOU DON'T READ THE REST OF THIS REVIEW....
I have never read a book that gives such a spin on your classic fantasy novels. Most fantasy books focused on the "Good Guys" this one focus on every one but is mostly told from the point of view of the "Bad Guys". The beginning of the book is very slow but that is because it is telling you about the world and its characters. The 2nds part of the book picks up and gets very exciting very quickly. This book really makes you feel for the "Bad Guys" and the "Good Guys". Its hard to pick a side in this book.
Can't wait to read book number 2 "Guardians of the lost"
