This book is a simple defense of the Conservative principles. It does not present any new information. I was hoping that this book would bring a distinctly British perspective to our problems in America. Unfortunately, either Britain is exactly the same as America (which I doubt) or it failed to do this.
However, it did have its funny moments, such as the description of a Fox Hunt, and his take on the conservative "desire" to kill all the cute & adorable little kittens.
Not particularly insightful, not extremely informative. But if you haven't already read Liberty & Tyranny by Mark Levin, if you missed out on Deliver us from Evil by Sean Hannity or Real Change by Newt Gingrich, this book is worth the read. But if you have already read all those books, this one will not provide any new insights.

Although I was pleased to see Obama win the election, I like to feel I'm mostly middle of the road. I was hoping that this book would illumintate some of the more significant problems that are being discussed at the moment, particularly the obvious and wanton expansion of government and mind-blowing deficit. This book, however, is more about stroking the liberal-hate and partisan hackery seen by the most rampant right-wing quacks. I could not finish it or even get past the first 30 pages, to be honest.
I'm interested in critical discussion by at least somewhat ostensibly objective commentators and this is not it. The person I got this book from loathes Obama and even he found the book mostly fluff and empty of real content. There are much, much better Republican criticisms than this silly thing.
