First book of a series, very good!
A Jazz Age Mystery. Takes place in 1918, New York and Paris. Features a lot of famous people from the era--F Scott Fitgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Georgi O'Keefe, Picasso, etc. A light, fun read.
The Jazz Age, weathy and famous people, exotic places what more can a reader ask? I really enjoyed this book. A good fun cozy with a some serious consequences involved. I believe Mr. Kilian did alot of research and portrayed the famous people as the research showed their personalities and action would be. Some you like and some you will not like. As for Hemingway, if you have read "the Paris Wife" you will adore Hadley and really not like Hemingway. This book renforces that opinion.
I cannot wait for the next. Good humorous intelligent mystery. Go for it!

While a good mystery, there were a few places where it bogged down. However, the ending more than made up for those.
It is a shame the author died in the early part of this century. I enjoyed his Civil War series.
