I picked this book up because I liked something contemporary that was written by this author. There were a few interesting plot twists in this book, but most of the action was heavily contrived and predictable. Within pages of the abduction we know the heroine is concealing "weak lungs" and low and behold - she gets very sick. Some similar revealing lead-ins. Not a great book, maybe stick with contemporary books where she can do edgier writing.
