I liked this book so much I just had to share it, One of the better romance stories I've read. Keeps you wondering what happens next!

SARAH WALLINGFORD WOULD DO HER DUTY
Even if that meant putting herself on the Marriage Mart during a London season she could ill afford--and did not desire. Now ironic circumstance had wed her to the compelling Marquess of Englemere, a fabled gamester, who had awakened passions she was honor-bound not to express....

Sarah and Nicholas enter into a marriage of convenience for both. He needing a wife and heir. She needing to marry a man of wealth to save her home. Nicholas was sure he could never fall in love again, not after his first wife had broken his heart. Or could he?

A very compelling & absorbing story. Lots of other regency authors have used these plot elements, but I was so drawn in emotionally that I didn't care.

I was particularly intrigued by Captain Sandiford, an 'it's all about him' sort of rival, but one with great hero possibilities, because he sticks by his promises. I am glad to see he got his own book later (The Proper Wife), which I've ordered.

Another subsidiary character, Nicholas's likeable friend Hal, got his book in A Most Unconventional Match.
