This was a witty and enjoyable read, however, at the end it did seem to drag as neither Pandora or Max wanted to be the first to declare their love for one another ... nevertheless, I liked the book. This is the first in the Effington and Friends Series; I think the subsequent books I've read,in the series, are much better.

My first Victoria Alexander book and I was pleasantly surprised. Although I'm more partial to romances with a few more lurve scenes, the story was very good, well-developed characters, and in parts, laugh-out-loud funny. I have the next two books in the Effington series and plan on reading them soon!

Was abit slow in the beginning and the end was frustrating since neither would declare their love for one another, started to get old after 3 chapters. Still storyline was good and little bits of humor throughout. A good read.

This was my first book by this author and I will be looking for more the characters just jump off the page and the books takes you away..

Some what slow moving, only one romantic scene in the entire book, but overall a good read.
