If you have never read a J.A.Jance novel you must not let this one pass you by. I couldn't put it down. Intriquing plot, delightful characters and "Can't put it down" theme, she keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Also having been raised in Az. I can relate to cities and towns mentioned.

This has a very unique and intriguing plot. The characters are notably delightful and colorful as well.

Looking forward to her next book..........

I really enjoy this series by J.A. Jance.

Ali Reynolds is finally putting another chapter of her life behind her. She is heading to Los Angeles from her home in Sedona, Arizona, to finalize her divorce. But when her husband doesnt show up for the appointed court date things get a little curious.

Turns out Paul Grayson was kidnapped from his bachelor party, yep, the cad was going to remarry the day after the divorce was granted. Not only was Paul abducted, but he was bound, placed in the trunk of a car and left to die on a railroad track.

Since the divorce was never granted, that leaves Ali to be the grieving widow, that not quite being her style she sets out to find who and what was behind this ghastly act.
As Ali keeps the reader of her blog updated, we slowly see the story and Alis role in it slowly unwind.

With great twists and an unpretentious cast of characters, Jance leads the reader to a thrilling conclusion that leaves you wondering what can Ali get into next. Thankfully, this is only the second book in the series, so it wont be long until I can delve into Alis world again.

An ex-anchor woman, Ali, returns to LA to divorce her cheating husband and settle her wrongful firing suit against the network.
Her husband fails to show for the divorce hearing which is strange because he is scheduled to marry his pregnant girlfriend in the afternoon.
Before the divorce her ex is murdered which really cuts her loose but also makes her the prime suspect. Things get worse before they get better. That's what makes such a good book!

Ali's husband has just been murdered and she, of course, is the sole heir to his sizeable estate. As if the murder wasn't problem enough for her, she and her husbnad had been in the middle of a nasty divorce so that he could marry his very young, very pregnant fiancee.

As the evidence piles up against her, she has to expose the real cold-blooded killer.

A good one, with lots of twists and turns!

Good plot, lots of suspense, beginning page one. I liked it much better than book 1. Jance has written us another heroine to make the wait between Beaumont and Brady books not seem so long.

Great 2nd story in this series and I'm looking forward to the rest of them.
Exciting, good characters, great to watch the development of the story. I hadn't started this series, but have done two of the others and enjoyed them very much. This series doesn't disappoint either. Traditional Jance and very good. Hard to put down and can't wait to see all the twists and turns. How she handles her characters is a joy to read.

I've read a few J.A. Jance books and liked them a lot. This one was a disappointment. The characters are dull and the plot is weak. As I'm writing this I realize I don't even remember who did it.
