I read Weather Girl by Rachel Lynn Solomon after seeing several glowing reviews on Bookstagram - thanks to Omaha Public Library for having the audiobook on its Libby list. I appreciated the narration by Sarah Mollo-Christensen.

The premise: This contemporary romance, set in a Seattle TV station, features Ari Abrams, an up-and-coming meteorologist, and Russell Barringer, a young sports reporter. After a lousy office holiday party, they share drinks and complaints about the tense workplace caused by friction between Torrance Hale, senior meteorologist and her ex-husband/station news director. Ari and Russell develop a plan to "Parent Trap" their bosses back together to benefit their careers and create a more peaceful workplace. Will their plan have the results they intend?

My thoughts: I really enjoyed this novel for the romance - the open-door sex scenes were steamy and unique - and much more. The characters deal with important issues including body image, single parenting, and treatment for depression and its impact on family relationships. The book also includes Jewish representation and lots of weather puns, and I enjoyed a peek "behind the curtain" of working in local TV.
