My 9-year old son loves the Wayside School books. He has read them all and just devoured each one.

Aren't we glad its getting stranger. This series is enjoyed by elementary school age (and their parents, who may fight the kids for the first read). Trapped voices get returned - even to Scotland; Santa Claus is proved to be real; and Louis the yard teacher becomes fist a villain and then a romantic hero.
