This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It is a straight forward romance, even though the hero just happens to be a Vampire. It is refreshing because there was no Vampire hunters or angst about being a vampire, it was just about two people who fall in love. There was an issue, because what good romance doesn't have an "issue", but it was quickly resolved without the typical whining and hair-pulling. If you want a sweet, quick read with an enjoyable love story and a happy ending, this is the perfect book to chose.

1st in another series about vampires. This one was fairly light but I wasn't crazy about the hero in this one; he seemed to blow hot and cold in wanting the woman not wanting the woman. It's not explained why he wants her to leave until very close to the end. It's pretty obvious they need a sequel or two because I'm not happy with something in this one that needs to be resolved though the couple's romance is ok. I liked the 1st 2 Young Brothers stories better but I've ordered the sequel to this to see how it goes. I guess I expected more with the music in this one and it just wasnt' there all the way but still a light vampire romance.

I really enjoyed this book. The romance between Maggie and Ren was amazing. I liked how both characters had their own personal hang ups to overcome in order to be together.
The only problem I have with this book is that even though Ren is a vampire...there is not much of a paranormal feel with this book.

book was fine until......the lamest ending ever written.
Little brother shows up and presto, with one or two sentences
changes everything our hero has believed for 200 or so years.

Ren was introduced briefly in the Young brothers series. A 200 year old classically trained musician now sings with a bar band in New Orleans. Maggie researches obsure classical music. Their meeting is electric. Sweet romance. 3.5 stars
