The title is misleading. No, it's not calling any woman a rude name...it's a shortening of "How to Avoid Certain Pitfalls of Spoken English," which for some reason didn't come up on the PBS database. Bizarre.
ANYWAY, the book is a guide to phonetics and pronunciation and would be good for an English Language Learner. I liked to use it with my ESL students to help them figure out how to speak our weird language!
