Excellent romantic suspense read. I've really enjoyed this series and another book [brother Roman Chernichenko] yet to come!
As is usual with these books - action driven plot with great characters and lots of sexual tension. Some of the characters from previous books [both Goddard Project books and her Mercenary books] have supporting roles or make appearances in this book. It's nice to see old friends!
The hero is a serious white knight - one who spent too much time undercover and having to do things he found unforgivable to maintain his cover. So he quits his job with INS and signs on with TGP because he found that someone was planning a hit on his sister and one of the projects at ETRD.
The heroine is a brilliant scientist but socially inept with a tendency to talk to herself - aloud. A guy's got to appreciate it when the cute scientist stares at his assets and indicates extreme appreciation - and willingness to take his assets for a test ride... She also has trust issues. Serious ones. It happens when your boyfriend sells you to terrorists for $500 bucks and a handful of drugs. It happens when nobody rescues you and you have to rescue yourself - after 8 months in a cell.
Is order desperately important? No. Would you be better off reading at least the Spy Who Wants Me before this one? Yes, these two stories are closely linked.
Goddard Project
1. Satisfaction Guaranteed (2007)
2. Deal With This (2007)
3. The Spy Who Wants Me (2009)
4. Watch over Me (2009)
Mercenary Trilogy
1. Ready (2005)
2. Willing (2005)
3. And Able (2006)

I almost skipped this one because I wasn't that enamored with the previous installment (the spy who wants me). but, it was a good, quick read. nice story, good dialogue, neat characters.
Very similar to "Spy Who Wants Me" but I find Lana's character funnier and more endearing than Beau. There were times where Beau was too arrogant for my taste while Lana was very sweet. Myk was enough of a bad boy alpha but he listened to Lana which was a nice change. I loved that they don't really waste time fighting their attraction too much. Also very cute side characters and lots of cameos from her other books. The resolution with the bad guys seemed a little too simple but overall it was a fun easy read.
Excellent book. Excellent series.
