Classic Keegan. A great set of essays, based on lectures from the BBC, on the impact of war and its function in society. A must read for any serious student of history. It is short and quickly read, but the essays are priceless.
Includes a through bibliography.

Book contains lectures on the origin of war, how it affects people, and attempts to rid the world of it. Information is fairly basic but useful. Book is only 72 pages long and a quick read. I recommend it.
