"It is satire, romance, thriller, morality, amd glimpses of eternity all rolled into one." -The New York Times
This novel was written by Charles Williams - a fellow member of the Inklings literary group that included C.S. Lewis. Set in England, the plot deals with a murder and misadventures involving a chalice - possibly the Holy Grail. Reading is somewhat difficult because it was written before WWII with British terms etc. Also, there are complex religious/spiritual themes throughout the plot with elements of the supernatural. Overall, interesting book but unusual and challenging.
