This book was so full of pain and anguish that there were pages that physically hurt me to read. My sympathy of course was with Kelly, but i liked Ryan also, even though he believed his brother and treated her so badly, he came through in the end and proved himself. Kelly says to him that living without their love would be wrong and she is so right, she loves him and forgives him. Ryan's mom and brother are absolutely criminal and totally hateful, although u get a sense that the brother may be somewhat sorry, what he did at the mother instigation was so wrong!!! Glad they got there happy ending...Devon's book is next!

Maya Banks spins another entertaining tale. This story has emotional conflict, betrayal, scheming family, risky pregnancy, disapproving friends, and a love that survives against all odds; all of this in a small package. I was skeptical about the baby theme, but fortunately that didn't overshadow the main plot of Kelly and Ryan healing their relationship. A quick and satisfying read. 4 stars.

I can't pinpoint why I didn't love this book. I kind of like a more humorous Banks and maybe was expecting she would include some fun scenes. It was a good book, don't get me wrong. It just didn't dazzle me. I guess although the scenes were heart-wretching and I can understand the difficulties of both characters, I couldn't feel their passion or love.

Okay read but nothing great.
