While the first book in this series was very romantic and without the typical vampire and evil in it, this one was different. The story is about Vittorio, Ren's brother and Erika, Maggie's friend who makes a breif apperance in the first book. This was a good love story but is a tad darker and even a bit disturbing. Ren and Vittorio's mother is the nemesis in this book and her love for her son is the disturbing part. You are also introduced to Maksim, a demon from Hell. At the end of the novel it is implied that Maksim and Jo, Maggie and Erika's, other friend will have their story told next.
Over all a good book, and I am looking forward to the next one.

Good paranormal romance. Follows the relationship if Vittorio and Erika. Vittorio is a lampir that has a weakness for helping damaged women. Unfortunately, they tend to end up dead. Vittorio tries to keep Erika away from him, but realizes she is his chosen one. 4 stars

Good read. Paranormal set in New Orleans with an action oriented plot. This is a direct sequel to Any Way You Want It; the hero is the brother of Ren from Any Way and the heroine is the best friend of Maggie, the heroine of that book. Great villain - in the climactic confrontation heroine is thinking "It was like a nightmare, every horror movie, every V. C. Andrews novel rolled into one." A fairly accurate summation... I'm looking forward to the next one [whose hero is introduced in this book].
Although order is certainly important here - having read the previous book is not necessary.

I love Kathy Love's writing. She provides characters with flaws and foibles and settings that are true to life. Her vampire romances are a lovely romp with heat streaming from the sexual excitement. Strongly recommended!

Allegedly Erika Todd insists she moved to New Orleans to be close to her recently married friend and to jump-start her career as a sculptor. In reality she knows she moved because her fortune teller, known for accuracy, insisted she must starting with her now house mate, a black cat. The only thing that has not happened yet is finding her true love.
She is attracted to her neighbor Vittorio Ridgewood, but he avoids her like she has the plague. He knows he wants her too, but the two century old vampire has sworn off mortals as they die leaving him forlorn; grieving is not worth the short time he would give away his heart. His perspective radically changes when his stalker abducts her.
The sequel to ANYWAY YOU WANT IT is an entertaining paranormal romantic suspense romp. The fast-paced story line centers on whether Erika can persuade Vittorio that he only has fangs for her; she fails until the "matchmaking" kidnapper forces the issue; albeit deep into the plot. Vampire romance fans will enjoy this amusing tale between the immortal and the human sculptor.
