A true fun-fest! Dare outdid herself with this amusing cast of characters and menagerie of odd-ball rescue animals. Gabriel and tenderhearted Lady Penny, opposites in temperament and status, embark on a yummy romance and somehow make it work. Underneath it all is the mystery of why Lady Penny has hidden away from society, and Gabriel shows up in just the way that we romance lovers fantasize about. Some of the antics stretch the realm of believability but they don't detract from this rousing good tale. 4 stars
