What an enjoyable book! In A Wallflower Christmas we visit our favorite group of girls at Christmas time. This story was the story of Hannah and Rafe, Lillian and Daisy's oldest brother. Even though this book doesn't focus intensely on the couple, it works nicely. I don't know why I didn't feel it worked out well in Scandal in Spring, but this, I liked.

Could this be her closure of the wallflowers? I really hope not. I still want to hear about the twins (Lillian and Daisy's twin brothers) and maybe even the antics of the wallflower children (Can you image, Merritt, Isabella and Evie's little girl?). This Christmas book made me FEEL like Christmas, Ms. Kleypas wove the holiday throughout the story splendidly. If you read the wallflower girls, you will not want to miss out on this book. And Ms. Kleypas, please don't let this be the end!

All though there are only four Wallpaper books, there are many books that feature the characters in these books. Mainly, Stony Cross and Lord Westcliff and Cam Rohan.
Worth Any Price- Lord Westcliff employs the main character as a companion for his
mother. She ends up being looked for by a Bow Street Runner. Her family and
fiancee is looking for her. Westcliff is a minor role but it does give an insight
into his character.

Again the Magic- Lord Westcliff is the heroine's older brother. This is a very
good book about two people that share a young love with each other but her father
sends him away because he is hired help. He then comes back to Stony Cross as a
rich American and is hell-bent on revenge on her. There are two love stories that
occur in this book (Westcliff's two sisters). I keep hoping for a sequel about the
younger sister but have yet to see it. I guess Kleypas thought she wrapped it up
well enough.

Mine Til Midnight (The Hathaways Book 1)- remeber the gypsy in Devil in Winter?
Well he is back as a main character in this spin off. Cam helps Amelia locate her
wastrel brother and falls in love with her in the process.

Seduce Me At Sunrise (The Hathaways Book 2)- Kev has lived with the Hathaways since
he was younger and lost from his gypsy family. Kev and Winnifred have always had
a special connection and this book details their love story. Also, another
interesting family connection is found.
Hope this helped everyone! I highly recommend all of the above books. Kleypas doesn't disappoint with her well-developed characters and story lines.

Lillian and Daisy's brother, Rafe Bowman, has arrived from America to make a match with the very beautiful Natalie Blandford. His sisters arrange a meeting with Miss Blandford's companion, Hannah Appleton, in order to learn more about Natalie. Rafe and Hannah strike sparks off of each other right way. Hannah cannot support a marriage between Natalie and Rafe. And Rafe wants to get to know Hannah a little better.

This is a nice way to revisit The Wallflowers. I actually liked this book better than Daisy's story. Rafe and Hannah are an interesting couple, though I wish a little more time had been spent on their relationship. My rating: 4 Stars.

A wrap up of the other four Wallflower books --- a really quick read but entertaining. Another "Wallflower" and the brother of Lillian and Daisy, sparks fly from the very first meeting even though Rafe is suppose to marry Hannah's cousin.

This was such a sweet, sweet book. I really enjoyed this story. It was fun to see how all the wallflowers are doing and the romance between them still nice and strong!!! The new romance of the hero and heroine was very sweet. A great ending to the series!

Loved the continuation of characters since the Wallflower Girls are all done.

I really enjoyed reading this book, having read all of the Wallflower books. My only complaint is that the story was so short, it could have had a lot more detail.

A happy reunion with our favorite Wallflowers. In this fun seasonally appropriate book (more aptly described as a novella) we are introduced to Rafe Bowman (Lillian and Daisy's brother) and Hannah. In typical Kleypas style, the couple meets, hates, has hot chemistry, and falls in love - but not without difficulty. We area also treated to short scenes with each Wallflower and her husband, although I think Daisy and Harry got short shrift (is that why there are only three women on the cover?)

I've read this one before and enjoyed it just as much on second reading (a little holiday treat for myself). But boy oh boy did it just leave me wanting more! The series was great and the characters so memorable.

Merry Christmas!

What a nice follow-on to the Wallflower series. Well thought out and sweet, I've enjoyed many of Lisa Kleypas' works.

That was a great book. I do recommend that you have read the wallflower series prior to this book. This book is an ending to the series and a great ending. I like the story of Hannah and Rafe. Very captivating. Lisa Kleypas does a wonderful job of bringing all the previous characters into the book and filling you in on how their relationships have grown. the whole wallflower series is a must read.

Short but sweet

Even for a short romance novella - a one-off, "holiday bonbon" as a professional reviewer termed it, A WALLFLOWER CHRISTMAS is one of thee dullest; unoriginal; waste-of-time romance reads I encountered in the year 2009.

I have respect for Lisa Kleypas' writing, most of the time. She's a well established romance author and has written some good romances. I still turn back to my favorite Kleypas book, Dreaming of You, every time I need an escape. But A WALLFLOWER CHRISTMAS, in my opinion, reads like the work of a lazy author. Or, maybe it's not so much laziness as it could be, possibly, Kleypas's listening too closely to her publisher's whisper: Hey Lisa, you can make lots of money off the popularity of the Wallflowers series by writing a speciality novella using these characters!

I can't even begin to recite the plot of this trite, colorless story that had characters I just couldn't care about, and a spiritless plot (derivative of better ones I've already read) that left me feeling cheated - cheated of valuable reading time.

And totally off the subject (and I grant that this isn't Kleypas's fault) but what is up with the cover art? Three headless women, and all in the wrong clothing for the time period. Who missed the boat when it came to approving this cover?

I know I will take "unhelpful" knocks from devoted Kleypas followers for this admittedly bitter and semi-sarcastic review. But I feel strongly that this is a poor book, written solely to profit from the popularity of the Wallflowers series.

It took a little bit for me to get into but I ended up enjoying once Rafe and Hannah met. Their interaction was very entertaining although I found Natalie (the girl Rafe was supposed to marry) very annoying.

It was a short, quick romance. It was also nice to revisit the Wallflowers again.

A mindless read. It didn't hold my interest at all. Oh well.

I loved this story, it was fun, lighthearted, and had some tension that you hoped would go on forever! A great read.

This was a great book -- fun, light -- not too long... And a delightful ending to the Wallflower trilogy -- unless of course, Lisa Kleypas writes more.

I'm glad to be sharing this book with other PBS'ers

A cozy holiday weekend read. Brings back all of the characters from the original quartet, not much new has happened, but it's always nice to catch up. Definitely a worthy read, but you have to read the quartet first to understand the premise.

Beautiful gift copy!

The Wallflowers are four young ladies in London who banded together in their wild and wickedly wonderful searches for true love. Now happily married, they join together once again to help one of the world's most notorious rogues realize that happiness might be right under the mistletoe.... It's Christmastime in London and Rafe Bowman has arrived from America for his arranged meeting with Natalie Blandford, the very proper and beautiful daughter of Lady and Lord Blandford. His chiseled good looks and imposing physique are sure to impress the lady in waiting and, if it weren't for his shocking American ways and wild reputation, her hand would already be guaranteed. Before the courtship can begin, Rafe realizes he must learn the rules of London society. But when four former Wallflowers try their hand at matchmaking, no one knows what will happen. And winning a bride turns out to be more complicated than Rafe Bowman anticipated, especially for a man accustomed to getting anything he wants. However, Christmas works in the most unexpected ways, changing a cynic to a romantic and inspiring passion in the most timid of hearts.

A WALLFLOWER CHRISTMAS takes a trip to Victorian London, under the mistletoe, and on a journey of the heart. With her trademark charm, sensuality, and unforgettable characters, there's no one like Lisa Kleypas to make you believe in the magic of Christmas.
