Being a retired RN, i was eager to read this book.the authors were fair in their rendering of what the medical profession is today. All of the information is footnoted and most goes back to a study done by Institute of Medicine.
the authors are not only critical but offer suggestions. they are two well credentialed persons and have allot to say.
This is an important book for not only the medical profession to read but the general public also.the hospitals are in great need of reorganization not only with technology but to bring medicine on a daily basis back from the edge.

Very good book. Having worked in the industry I know the author is telling the truth in regards to the wall of silence.
