This is when the series really picks up. The first 2 books jump a lot of time without letting you know, and only when a character mentions something in passing about an event happening 'months ago!' do you know approximately where you are in the timeline. This book takes it's time, shows the uncertainty and the comfort of the prison to the survivors. They are on shaky ground, but they are trying to make it work in a world that is dead. And one certain survivor is seriously losing his head... makes for a frightening situation. And a thrilling read!
