I found this book very hard to read. The subject matter is interesting, but the writing left much to be desired. I seldom quit on a book, but had to with this one.

This book id filled with not oly facts about the trail but stories of the hikers, and some wonderful tales of how they had to use nature to eat, and rpotect theirselves and how they had to relearn to adjust to the fast pace of being among the people in the cities and towns. I loved it and my husband did too.. a real keeper..
