I enjoyed reading athis book about the walking travels across France. It is very descriptive of the walk along the way. A person feels like he/she is on the walk. The author's description of the challenges/pleasures of the walk are good. A great, easy read.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked getting to know the author and his wife who took this trek with him. Reading their impressions of the towns and areas where they walked was very interesting. I think the best part was reading about their physical and emotional reactions to the whole trip.

It was a nice read, except when the author went off of the topic of their walk and the surroundings. His side topics were boring and a distraction. I found myself skipping over his musings; the history of an area was fine, but I was not interested in what poem he was memorizing during the walk. It was just OK.

I loved this book. I spent a few wonderful mornings on my porch, with the noise of cicadas in the background, enjoying this book of 'The Walk' from Mediterranean to the Atlantic by an Investment banker (who quits his job) and his wife. Tres charmante. Recommended to all those who love to engage in armchair travel.
