T.L. Hines is a new author. This is his first book that I'm aware of and it's a GOOD one! I love books that grab you on the first page or two and have you hooked by the end of the first chapter... for me, this was one of those books. Jude the main character is instantly likable, intriguing and mysterious. I especially loved the relationship between Jude and Rachel and even more so between Jude and his son Nathan. Hines does a great job of planting info along the path, enough to keep you guessing, thinking maybe you've figured it out then causing you to doubt yourself by the next chapter, keeping you up till the AM hours cause you've just got to know what's going to happen. Just what a good mystery/thriller needs. From beginning to end this book is very satisfying. I'd love to see more of Jude!!

You won't regret requesting or even buying this book!

If you like Peretti and other suspense/thriller religious fiction authors, you will LOVE this book. It kept me on the edge and I was unable to put it down and read it in one session. Definitely one of my favorite books.

I had no idea what to expect from this book. It looked interesting. While there are some obvious inconsistencies in the story line, over all Waking Lazarus held my attention. The story in typical for this kind of novel, but interesting and thoughtful none-the-less.
The main character Jude/Ron has an unusual gift but does not see it as so. In fact, he's become a paranoid recluse. As the story unfold, Ron is more willing to accept his identity (Jude) and to accept God's work and the gift as something special meant to bless him and others.
I recommend it for a good read.

Excellent mystery with some supernatural elements and twists. Similar to some of Ted Dekker's works - not overly graphic and just the right amount of suspense. It's a definite page-turner.
