Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." That's the offer of Christianity, from God himself. Just look at what happens when people are touched by Jesus - the blind see, teh lame walk, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life. In other words, to be touched by God is to be restored. TO become all God meant you to be. That is what Christianity is supposed to do for you - make you whole, set you free, bring you fully alive. But Jesus also warned that the path to that life is narrow, and few people would find it. You'll notice few have. "Waking the Dead" will help you find that life, see the fierce battle over your heard, and embrace all that God has for you. There is so much more. Do you want it?

Can't praise it enough. Deals with many problems faced by Christians and would-be-Christians. Starts with describing a cold faith and offers remedies using examples from literature, movies, etc. Tells, by example, the necessity for having a group of fellow-believers intimately involved with sharing the faith and sharing ministry. This is an energizing book, helpful for mature Christians and new Christians alike. I can't do justice to what the author is saying - but perhaps it is like a cool drink of water on a thirsty day.
This is an amazing book! All about how important, and how GOOD, our hearts really are! We may have always been told that our hearts are bad, but that's not the case! John Eldredge does a great job convincing you of this fact.
A very heart-stirring book.

The one thing I can say about this writer is that he believes that God is not in control of the future. Do your own research. So be careful what you learn from.
I think this might be one of my favorite Eldredge books so far! Definitely a worthwhile read!

Such a great wake-up call for Christians who have been struggling with the "dailyness" of it all! Very rejuvenating!
Get ready to be transformed. You cannot read this book and ever be the same. If you are in the Kingdom, this is a necessary read.
A life changing book! I definitely recommend it!
