The newest book from Lauraine Snelling is another good read. Set in the North near the Canadian border a tough border patrol agent & a physician's assistant are thrown together to main the small town's only medical clinic during an weather emergency. Both characters are struggling with internal problems as well as the damaged people from the storm. How God works through the storm, through the main characters struggles & through the life of a tiny, abandoned baby makes this a book you won't want to miss reading.

The cover of this book first caught my attention, then the description, and then the story itself. The characters are complex and the book expertly weaves together their stories into the uniqueness of their geographic location and the challenge of a natural disaster. I found this book to be a totally satisfying read, and I have passed my copy along to another PBS reader for her to enjoy.
