easy reading, fun rom-com. classic girl meets boy, boy meets girl story. needed easy reading at this time :)
The book's synopsis looked interesting, and there was a waiting list to get a copy of it, so I guess I was expecting more. To me, it was simply a rom-com about a wannabe rom-com writer and a rom-com actor. It was an easy read because it didn't have any meat to the story. I didn't hate it, but I'd never want to read it a second time and feel it's my duty to inform others that it's "not all that".
This is a fabulous rom-com movie in book form, a wonderful tribute to the "Nora Ephron trilogy" of Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, and When Harry Met Sally. I read the "nerd culture" references aloud to my husband - Star Wars, Dungeons and Dragons, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed the twist on the HEA ending. This is ideal for summer reading.
