While overall I really enjoyed this book, it seems as though the 'last' obstacle was completely unnecessary and contrived. I also would have liked to see a bit more real communication between the main characters. The secondary characters were very well developed and enjoyable. Looking forward to Connor's story!

One of a set of twins who own the main bar in town and hasn't found love as good as she had in high school until that same guy walks into her bar for many reasons. The ups and downs of their reunion were great, I loved that it wasn't easy for them to reunite and they were working out things throughout the book, but they still had other things going in their lives beyond their budding relationship.

I'm a big fan of Higgins and not a big fan of second chance romances which is why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. At 450+ pages it's a great long read, but I felt like there was perhaps one too many problems thrown at the leads to keep them apart. There was already the main conflict so I didn't feel like they needed one more. The heroine is delightfully madcap - honest, funny, friendly, beautiful and the book made me both laugh out loud and tear up. The hero is a little less developed - he looks like a pirate, feels like an outsider, and is great with kids. The secondary characters are wonderful and I feel like I'd recognize them if I visited their small town.
