A young vegetarian vampire named Dagmar loves sweets. Usually his friends bring him some, but one of them tells him about a holiday where he can get them for free! He makes a garlic costume, but when it comes time to wear it, the moths have eaten holes in it. He goes to town anyway and a helpful ghost tells him how to get the candy. At the end of the night, Dagmar discovers that it isn't a ghost, but a girl! He runs away, but she brings him the candy he dropped. They become friends.
Why I recommend it: The story is inventive. A vampire with a sweet tooth! Dagmar thinks he has to have a scary costume (hence the garlic), but he's scary as he looks already.
