A epic war novel set in one of the most emotionally charged flash-points on earth: South Africa. A must read.

I originally grabbed this book simply because I had heard Bond worked with Clancy on Red Storm Rising, which I enjoyed. Bond didnt fail to keep me hooked on this tail of a strategic battle in South Africa. I learned a lot about the country and the continent that I had never known before. The book starts a little slow and bogs a bit on the details, but keep at it, that latter ¾ is well worth it.
