I like this series very much. Voices is not as dark as the previous book Silence of the Grave. It is as much about detective Erlendur as it is about the crime. His dogged pursuit of the killer of a man no one seemed to know anything about leads to the unfolding of a "long-buried web of malice and greed to find the killer". It's like peeling the layers of an onion and I wanted to get to the center.

Good mystery, well-translated. Interesting insights into Iceland. I'm really liking Indridason's whole series set in Reykjavik.

Third in the series, this one is very well written and translated. I love all the characters and the setting. I suggest that you read them order. Can't wait to dive into the next one.
