I believe this is part of a musical series of books. There is a recording of the master's Four Seasons included. I myself am not especially enamoured with the illustrations, but they are adequate and convey that far off time.
It circulated little in this branch library before being withdrawn, perhaps the label on the spine 'Historical' put the youth off.
I will take a big chance (so many PBS comrades ignore the notice that their wish has been fulfilled until it expires in 48 hours) and buy this ex-library, with usual markings, otherwise AF copy from the sale shelf for two bits in order to post it. There are six wishes outstanding, but I have gone through about that many already in ten days with the DC Guide to Penciling Comics--all wish fulfilled notices have been ignored....
