Very good book. I have read all of Eve Dallas and knew who it was before they said. This one I had no idea of who. I read it in 2 days. Very gripping and very good.

Another nail-biting Lieutenant Eve Dallas book. Superbly crafted thriller with all the elements of true horror, along with subplots that give you another peek into the mind of Eve Dallas and her relationship with super sexy Roarke, who is among the best of Nora Roberts' creations.
A serial killer is on the loose in mid-21st-century NYC who loves to pose his victims with a single red ribbon around the neck, hands posed, as if in prayer, and the eyes removed with chilling precision. then we have Celina Sanchez ,a reluctant psychic who offers one vision after another-each with shockingly accurate details of the murders.

I loved this book, as well as all the "In Death" seris. I am on book 34 and can't wait for the next one to come out!

From Nora Roberts, writing as J.D. Robb, comes a new novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series. In 2059 New York City, technology and humanity still fight for their place in the world and NYPSD Lieutenant Eve Dallas searches the darkest corners of Manhattan for an elusive killer with a passion for collecting souls...

VISIONS OF DEATH

The summer of 2059 has been long, hot--and bloody. On one of the city's warmest nights, a call from dispatch sends Lieutenant Eve Dallas to Central Park--and into a hellish new investigation. The victim was found on the rocks, just above the still, dark water of Central Park Lake. She wore nothing but a red ribbon tied around her neck. Her hands were posed as if in prayer. But it is her eyes--removed with such precision, as if by the careful hand of a surgeion--that have Dallas most alarmed.

As more bodies turn up, each with the same defining scars, Eve is frantic for answers. Against her instincts, she accepts help from a psychic, who offers one vision after another--each with shockingly accurage details of the murders. And when Eve's partner and friend Peabody is badly injured after escaping an attack, the stakes are raised. Are the eyes a symbol? A twisted religious ritual? A souvenir? With the help of her husband, Roarke, Dallas must uncover the killer's motivation before another becomes another nightmare...

"Intensely female yet unfeminine in any traditional sense, Dallas has a complex edge that transcends genre stereo-types....Appealing secondary characters add genuine warmth and humor." -Publishers Weekly

I love powerful Lt. Eve Dallas and how the complex New York City crimes are solved. If you don't wanna bite her husband, don't read these books! Nora Robert's best writing is as JD Robb in this "In Death" series of some 30+ stories to date. I collect all of the JD Robb books, but skip the Roberts, whose stories are not as tight as those about Lt. Eve Dallas - ass kicker! If the future of New York City is like this, I fear these futuristic killers who are sneaky and complex.

Eve Dallas is on the trail of a serial killer, in 2059.
The killer removes his victim's eyes.
With the help of her very rich husband, Eve works feverishly to track down the killer.
I enjoy Nora Roberts "vision" of what the future could look like
in all of her Eve Dallas novels.

Summer 2059, Lt. Eve Dallas is dispatched to Central Park where a victim has been found wearing nothing but a red ribbon around her neck. Her hands posed as if in prayer, but her eyes have been removed with great precision. As the bodies start to stack up Dallas accepts help from a psychic who provides her with accurate details of the murders. Classic Dallas.

It's the year 2059 and Lieutenant Eve Dallas starts a new investigation. A victim was found by Central Park Lake. She has only a red ribbon around her neck. She looked like she was praying, and her eyes were removed from her face. More bodies continue turning up with the same characteristics. Eve is on the quest to solve these murders!

Good twist ending in this, # 19 of the ongoing "In Death" series by JD Robb/Nora Roberts.

A psychic known to a trusted friend of Eve comes to her with visions of a murder - with details that haven't been released by the police. Always a skeptic, Dallas is forced to use any resource at hand, no matter how unlikely and unconventional, to turn up leads and stop women from being brutally raped, murdered, and mutilated.

As usual, the villain has some circumstances that make them a sympathetic character, but this book has a little twist as well...

Is a maddened killer all that's deadly out there?

Lt. Eve Dallas is called to Belvedere Castle in Central Park. A body of a woman has been found on the rocks below the castle. She has been beaten and raped. The red cord around her necks shows she was strangled. But the worst part is her eyes have been removed. As Eve and her partner, Peabody, work the case, another eyeless victim is discovered in another city park. A psychic comes forward offering her help. She seems to know actual details of the cases that haven't been released to the public. Eve will take any help she can get to find the killer before another body is discovered.

Another outstanding addition to this series. This one reads more like a police procedural than the usual story with a line-up of suspects to choose from. We are with Eve as she follows the clues that will lead her to the killer. The dialogue is excellent, maybe even a bit funnier than usual, especially conversations between Eve and Peabody. The twist at the end of the story was unexpected. I recommend this book for anyone who loves this series. My rating: 5 Stars.

One of the newest in an AWESOME futuristic mystery/romance series. Eve Dallas is a strong, tortured heroine who is a brilliant homicide detective. Her husband is wondeful and loving and mysterious. Strong supporting characters. This book would work well as a stand-alone if you haven't read the rest of the series.
