The photos in this book are gorgeous! It makes a beautiful coffee table book! However, being a native Virginian, I was a little dissappointed at all the things they "missed" in this book! They didn't even include the Shenandoah Valley which is a HUGE part of Virginia's beauty! The parts of Virginia that I consider to be the most beautiful weren't in this book.

It focuses a great deal on Virginia history. There's A LOT in it on Northern Virginia (Alexandria), and a lot of the major Civil War spots in Virginia are highlighed in this book. It's a nice book if you're doing a report on Virginia history! The photos of the historical sites are beautiful.

I've heard that they are coming out with a "Virigina II" book as a sequel to this one, I hope that one covers many of the areas that I believed were missed in this one!
