Dax has his own ship compliments of the settlement received by all the surviving Zetithians after dividing the assets of the one who destroyed their world and put a bounty on their heads. He is using his ship to help refugees get back to their homes, there are some strange and interesting species involved. One of the refugees, Ava, makes Dax purr finally ending his much joked about virgin state. But Ava has some secrets,from the father she never knew, that even she doesn't understand. Getting her home could be dangerous.
I read all the Cat Star Chronicles so far and this is my least favorite. The story seemed to drag, maybe too much dialog and not enough action, I'm not really sure because the story was interesting. I think it was the romance because it wasn't as intense as the other stories. It just didn't connect for me.
That said, I would still recomment this book if you are reading this series because we hear about the other Zetithians and what they are doing since ending their nemisis.
