jjares reviewed The Viking Age for Kids: A Captivating Guide to the Vikings, Their Raids, and Everyday Life (History for Children) on + 3278 more book reviews
I didn't think Captivating History could improve on their kid versions of history. However, I found this book even more chock-full of fascinating info, including the Viking culture, history, mythology, religion, and what finally happened to the Vikings.
I like reading these eBooks for kids because the author(s) explain Viking terms and how they were part of the European history story. Adult-intended books often skip over basic ideas that help readers get a more intensive understanding of a subject.
I've always thought that these books were geared toward homeschooled youngsters. However, because of the pictures and engaging activities (at the end of each chapter), parents may find these books helpful for reluctant readers and youngsters who think history is boring.
