The View from Here by Cindy Myers was a pleasant read with a little bit of gold-finding history. Although the cover makes you think you will be reading a sappy romance novel, the romance part doesn't really happen until about two-thirds of the way into the book. I liked the descriptive images of Colorado and most of the characters. Yes, it was predictable at the end and like a true romantic novel; sometimes it is nice to read something you know will come out happy in the end. A review I read said âOne criticism/complaint--it really needs a divider every time the scene changes. Not realizing for a couple of seconds that you are no longer in the same "area" is distracting.â I did not notice that at all; the author places spaces within the chapters so you can tell there is a transition to something else.
