These are always fun, at least for this adult. I notice that Pallotta, in all of his alphabet books, doesn't "talk down" to the kids. He also gets unusual items into his books (as you can tell, M is munchkin pumpkin" rather than P is for pumpkin, U is for Ultra girl tomato. I have found that Kindergarten and 1st graders don't especially enjoy this as a read-aloud. It's more at a 2nd-3rd grade reading level, and they may be past alphabet books, more's the pity.
