a series of short stories by a great author. all take place on the subway line, Victoria and Central.

This is the British publication of "London Transports", a set of short stories (25) that have some connection with the London subway. Written in 1978, this edition published 1993.
The stories are in a different order than "London Transports", but random checking shows that they are identical stories (the American version is not edited down, as some British books are).
