Having moved my very own mother in with me when she was classified as 'hospice', I found Simone to be a bit 'cold' as she described her mother. A situation that thousands go through, and for that and that alone, I would recommend this book. I missed the tenderness and major loss I felt myself, but knew it may well have been there in there under the surface of de Bouvier's heart...............
