FROM THE PUBLISHER
The Borg, half organic being and half machine, are the most feared race in the known galaxy. In their relentless quest for technological perfection, they have destroyed entire star systems, enslaved countless peoples, and, in a single brutal attack, decimated Starfleet's mightiest vessels.
Answering a distress call from a planet under attack by the Borg, the U.S.S. EnterpriseTM meets Delcara, the lone survivor of an alien race the Borg obliterated. Blinded by hatred, Delcara seeks the ultimate revenge, the complete destruction of her race's executioners. But the U.S.S. Enterprise crew learns that Delcara's vengeance carries a terrible price, for once unleashed, the destructive force she commands will annihilate not only the Borg, but countless innocents as well.
I really enjoyed this book.

Absolutely one of the best novels in the series. Could easily have been made into a movie and would have been better than most. It's written by Peter David, one of the best authors to work with Trek. Picard and the Enterprise crew are caught up in a battle with the Borg and a powerful alien force from the past. This is the Borg at their best, not the watered-down version that appeared in Voyager. One of the best Trek novels, period.

No matter what medium, comic books, television or sci-fi, Peter David can do it all, and do it well. When he writes Star Trek, he incorporates all of these talents plus a a fans love for the entire Trek verse both past and present.
Leave it to David to make a wry observation that the Borg's cube like ship, is a smug statement on the foolishness of every other race spaceship's aerodynamic design.
