The chicken pot pie recipe is really, really great and has become a regular for us. I use the crust from Agnes Thom's recipe. I would not ruin it by using a store bought crust. The chocolate cake with beets--you can taste the beets--but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The butternut squash upside-down cake was a pleasant surprise and still is talked about even though I made it only once for a friend's birthday (yes, we are still friends). Only disappointment is that there are not more recipes for vegetables at breakfast. This book is a must for every kitchen/cook that aspires to cooking nutritious and delicious food.
